Volunteer With us

Turn Compassion Into Action

Help young children thrive by the age of five.

At the Early Learning Coalition of Sarasota County, we empower young children and families with the resources they need to succeed.

From ensuring access to quality child care to championing early literacy, our work impacts countless lives across the community. But we cannot do it alone.

Our reach grows because of volunteers who care deeply about children, educators, and families. When you give your time, you help strengthen classrooms, support teachers, and expand opportunities across the early education landscape stretching from North Port to Newtown.

We have opportunities for every interest and skill set.

Volunteer Opportunities

Preschool Makeovers

Help reinvigorate and rejuvenate a child care building, classroom, or playground.

Volunteers assist with painting, organizing, cleaning, gardening, refreshing learning spaces, and  designing welcoming environments where children feel safe and inspired to learn. Each makeover varies as it is designed based on the needs of the early learning center and the talents/interests of our volunteer groups.

Supply Drives

Help place books, school supplies, and playground materials into the hands of our littlest learners.

You can organize a drive through your workplace, faith community, school, or neighborhood group. Every donated item directly supports high-needs early learning classrooms.

Administrative Help

Behind every nonprofit program is a mountain of administrative work that keeps the mission moving.

Volunteers help sort books, prepare mailings, stuff folders, pack totes, organize materials, and support behind-the-scenes operations that are critical to keeping our programs running smoothly.

Special Events

Every successful event starts with gracious people willing to help make it happen.

From small literacy initiatives to large-scale community celebrations, volunteers assist with setup, tear down and everything in between. Your help ensures our events run efficiently and serve our families with intention.
Bright Futures Service Hours are awarded for eligible student volunteers.
